The book The Night Manager was excellent as well the series. My only qualm was the boss of the main character was a male but they changed it to a pregnant female -to make it worse it was played by Olivia Coleman.

Let's be real, there are probably very few places where a human hasn't died yet, especially in highly populated areas. Thousands of years of history, thousands of wars and natural disasters, plagues, murders, even on the seas - shipwrecks and airplane crashes... any place could be haunted if you believe enough and don't know much about physics and/or chemistry.
